Little Miss Laura Contest

2025 Little Miss Laura contestants stand in front of a bookshelf; one holds a matching doll.

The Laura Ingalls Wilder Park & Museum in Burr Oak, Iowa, invites young girls to become a Little Miss Laura, serving as ambassadors for the museum and representing Laura Ingalls Wilder’s legacy. Each year, the contest celebrates the pioneer spirit, community involvement, and love for history while giving participants the opportunity to appear at parades, museum fundraisers, and other local events.
