Introducing Little Miss Laura 2024–2025: Rose Otto

The Laura Ingalls Wilder Park & Museum is pleased to announce Rose Otto of Harmony, Minnesota, as Little Miss Laura for the 2024–2025 year, selected during the Laura Days Celebration in June.

This year’s Little Miss Laura contest featured four outstanding candidates, making the judges’ decision a challenging one. Rose was chosen to serve as the museum’s primary youth ambassador, representing the Laura Ingalls Wilder story and pioneer history at parades, fundraisers, and special events throughout the coming year.

Also representing the museum alongside Rose are three Prairie Girls:

  • Melea Downing of Waukon, Iowa
  • Aria Yoder of Decorah, Iowa
  • Knightly Rich of Waukon, Iowa

Together, Rose and the Prairie Girls will accompany the museum at community events across the region during the 2024–2025 season, helping share Burr Oak’s unique place in Laura Ingalls Wilder history.

Congratulations to these four remarkable young ladies. We look forward to an exciting year of education, engagement, and community connections with our newest ambassadors.
