The Laura Ingalls Wilder Park & Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Its mission is to present Laura’s life in Burr Oak, Iowa, as a nine year old girl, as well as that of her family, their joys and their hardships. The Masters Hotel, where the Ingalls lived and worked in 1876, was built in 1851. Our museum board and staff are dedicated to preserving this historic site for future generations. We are grateful to our visitors and donors who make it possible to continue the museum’s mission, projects, building maintenance, and educational programming through tours, gift shop sales, donations, memberships, and fundraisers. Thank you for your consideration in supporting the Laura Ingalls Wilder Park & Museum.
