Burr Oak Mercantile Restoration is Underway

Contractors have been busy building a new bathroom, office and kitchen area; updating wiring and lights; and installing new plumbing lines and fixtures. Once restored, the mercantile building will become the museum’s new Visitor Center and Gift Shop. A portion of the building will re-create the look of the 1908 store.

Nearly 20% of the restoration funds have been raised through donations and fundraisers. We have a ways to go and are asking for your kind help. Thank you for your support.
