The Laura Ingalls Wilder Park & Museum would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to our 2023 summer tour guides: Elsa, Leila, and Karlee. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and knowledge helped bring the story of Laura Ingalls Wilder and Burr Oak’s history to life for every visitor this summer.

As the season wrapped up, we also want to recognize our senior staff—Barb, Valerie, Laurie, Marion, and Bonnie—for their leadership and hard work throughout the year. On the final day of the 2023 season, they expressed their gratitude to all visitors and supporters who helped make the season so memorable.

We wish Leila the best as she returns to college, and Elsa and Karlee a great school year back in high school. Thanks to the dedication of our tour guides, senior staff, and volunteers, the 2023 season was filled with smiles, learning, and memorable experiences.

The museum looks forward to welcoming guests back for the 2024 season, opening May 1!
