The Laura Ingalls Wilder Park & Museum in Burr Oak, Iowa, invites young artists to participate in the annual Children’s Coloring Contest, a fun and creative way to celebrate Laura Ingalls Wilder and pioneer life. This contest encourages children to explore their artistic skills while learning about Laura’s story and the traditions of Burr Oak.

2026 Contest Submissions

Coloring contest entries must be submitted by June 12, 2026 to be eligible for judging.

How to Enter

  1. Complete a coloring page (available for download below or at the museum).
  2. Write the contestant’s name and complete address on the back of the entry.
  3. Submit your entry between March 19th and June 12, 2026.

  • Contestants do not need to be present to win.
  • All entries become property of the museum.
