I became a Laura fan when my girls were little (1970s and '80s) and their bedtime began with another chapter or two from the book we were currently reading. ("Please, Mama, just one more chapter!" their nightly plea.) Since my daughters are six years apart, I had the joy of reading through the entire series twice. As a teacher, the Laura books became our after-lunch-reading. It provided lots of opportunity to familiarize these 7 and 8 year olds with the life of that time.

Now I have three grandaughters who are as fascinated by Laura as their mothers' were 30 years ago. For her birthday, Victoria (14) has requested that I complete her collection to include the Ozark years. It was while searching for a source that I ran across your web site.

My husband and I have taken a special trip with each of our grandchildren. I'm thinking a trip to all the Laura sites might be the perfect destination for some little girls.
